Any recommendations for a baby carrier? My previous experiences hasn't been great with them as they always seem to give me backache. Thanks!

I swear by the Baby Bjorn - can still carry my son in it and he's nearly two! But Ergo Baby is also spoken of highly. Also worth mentioning that you can fashion one very cheaply from fabric, see this brilliant article about cultural appropriation in parenting by one of our Creative Network Members: https://tantrum.xyz/posts/cultural_appropriation_in_parenting_357

I use a ring sling by Rockin Baby which I love as they are very versatile. My friend runs a sling swing franchise and is really anti some of the leading brands of sling- apparently some are not very good for hip alignment and also little boys bits. She swears by Tula- they are gorgeous. Quite pricey but come on lovely designs and well worth cost per wear x

Big fan of the Tricotti soft sling in the early newborn days and before they are big enough for structured slings. Then I now swear by the Beco Gemini in Metro Black, which can not only carry a baby in 4 different ways, but also a toddler like a backpack AND achieve a nap! Big waistband eliminates the backache element. http://www.becobabycarrier.co.uk/cat-13/gemini http://www.johnlewis.com/inspiration-and-advice/family/baby-carrier-demonstration-videos/tricotti-sling-demonstration-video
