Weird one ... so when you need to start speaking to your child about their private parts - for boys it's a relatively easy 'willy' but what's the equivalent for girls? Most of the options I can think of seem far too formal or too sexualised ... I heard Princess the other day which made me laugh out loud but I'm struggling to come up with a better alternate...

haha! 😂 this is actually a really difficult question - I've got the office here racking their brains - best one we had was `wilma` (so it's `Willy and Wilma`)

I'm just going vulva.

😂 @Beth - this is still making me chuckle. I note that there's already been 111 views of this post and still no one has an answer.

Me and my husband have struggled so much with this, so any tips would be gratefully received! How can 2 reasonably world wise adults not have anything other than 'bum bum' in their repertoire? .......... although not that far removed from 'bam bam', so maybe the flintstones theme is the way forward?

I was adamant we'd use the proper anatomical terms so we always said penis. He couldn't pronounce it properly and said peter. It made us laugh so much that the name stuck and peter it is. I get an extra laugh out of it because I have an ex called Peter...

I can't help with the female version though. I know that vulva is the correct term but I can't quite bring myself to say it. I probably should just go for it and it'll be turned into Vera...

I think Vera's good! Perhaps the winner 😁

@Dadah to one, Looks like Nuni and hoohoo are winning at the moment, but it's still early days! Upvote your favourite by clicking the star.
