If my son has a bath every day, and hasn't dirtied his vest in any way, is there a reason why he shouldn't wear it at night and the next day? I seem to be doing a lot of washing and wonder if it's necessary...

Totally acceptable to wear a vest for a couple of days especially if it's clean and they are bathed every day! Our son wears his PJs for about three/four nights!

We had the same thought process. Except that generally our daughter had trashed her clothes by the end of the day so we didn't have a choice. Little kids don't really sweat that much so I think it's fine to reuse clothing that hasn't been dirtied - not to mention environmentally friendly and time saving!

I was so nervous to read the responses in case it proved I'm a slovenly mother. I do this, and lets remember less washing is not only good for you, it's also good for the environment, your wallet, your over-worked washing machine, and probably good for the clothes too. When you start potty training, the dirty clothes multiply like randy rabbits. Take any short cuts you can....
