TUTORIAL: EASY £10 PINATA CAKE

Mat Riley demos his easy ombre pinata cake recipe

Pre-heat the oven to a fan-assisted, 180-degrees celsius.

For the sponge:
 

Blend the following:

500g granulated sugar (this is cheaper than caster sugar, you just need to ground it first in a food processor)
500g Stork (this is cheaper than butter)
500g self-raising flour
500g eggs (unshelled)

Bake for 20-25 mins until golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.

For the butter cream icing:

250g Unsalted butter
500g Icing sugar
Coloured food gels
200-300g sweets of your choice.
